About Our Missions Program We consider Missions to be the heartbeat of the
local church. While we may not be a
“big” church, on a percentage basis we support more missionaries per member
than many bigger churches do. Even our
pastor
and his wife served as missionaries in the Samoan
Islands. Our missions program is funded by the freewill gifts
and offerings of God's people through both faith promise and designated
gifts. We also put ten percent of our
general fund offerings into the missions fund. After all, if we believe that each
individual should be giving tithes and offerings, why not the church as
well? Besides, it enables us to do a
lot more for missions than a church our size would normally be able to do! |

BIBLE BAPTIST CHURCH POLICY CONCERNING WORLD MISSIONS |
|
The Richfield Bible Baptist Church recognizes that
the task of world missions is one of the preeminent tasks of the local New
Testament church; a task given by our Lord Himself. Consequently, it is our responsibility as a
Bible believing New Testament Baptist church to do our best to fulfill the
task of world mission. We have adopted
the following eight guidelines to coordinate and organize our world missions
program: All missionaries desiring to be members of this
church and to use this church as their sending church must abide by our
constitution and policies. All missionaries who are not members of this church,
but who desire to be supported by this church, shall be members of churches
of like faith and practice and sent out by the same. Preference shall be given to missionaries sent
directly by their home church or through a missions agency which is a
ministry under the direct control and authority of a specific church of like
faith and practice. All missionaries supported by this church must have
the conviction that the KJV Bible is the inspired, inerrant, preserved Word
of God in the English language and that all other modern English versions are
not. set the faith promise missions giving goal. Ten percent of the general fund income each month
and all specifically designated funds shall be placed in the missions fund to
fund our world missions program. |

"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,
All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach
all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of
the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to
observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you
alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)" "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the
world, and preach the gospel to every creature. (Mark 16:15)" "And said unto them, Thus it is written, and
thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name
among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these
things. (Luke 24:46-48)" "But ye shall receive power, after that the
Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in
Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of
the earth. (Acts 1:8)" |

What the Bible Says About Going... |
|
"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good
measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give
into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be
measured to you again. (Luke 6:38)" "But this I say, He which soweth sparingly
shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also
bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him
give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And
God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all
sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (As it is written,
He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness
remaineth for ever. Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister
bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of
your righteousness;) Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness,
which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. (2 Corinthians 9:6-11)" |
